French Miracle Tour

French Miracle Tour

In 2015, the French Miracle Tour sent four young French groups off to conquer Asia (Yuksek, Juveniles, Clarens, Manceau). The result: 6 countries, 32 concerts, and 100,000 spectators!

In 2016, the French Miracle Tour returns to reveal the latest talent on the new French scene (rock, with Ko Ko Mo and Fuzeta; electro, with Thylacine and Les Gordon) to the Asian public. The Chinese leg of the tour involves five cities and two large festivals. From the Midi Festival in Suzhou to the Strawberry Festival in Shanghai and Wuhan, taking in Chengdu and the SOTX showcase in Beijing, the Chinese public gets a proper chance to meet the four young French groups, before they go on to conquer Korea, Vietnam, and Indonesia!

The French Miracle Tour, co-produced by I Love Creative Music and the FAKE association, with the support of the Institut français, was conceived from a desire to help develop the international careers of talented young French musicians. With its concerts, artistic collaborations, studio recordings, promotions and documentaries, the French Miracle Tour is a genuine adventure that takes in China, Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Jakarta.

Originally from Vannes, the Sims brothers (Charles, the bassist, and Dorian and Pierre, the singer/guitarists) and their childhood friend Jérémy Hervé (drums) have already recorded two EPs (Dive and Pavilhão Chinês). In two years, Fuzeta have played an increasing number of large concerts (Transmusicales, Printemps de Bourges, Francofolies, etc.), and the energy that they display on stage convinced the jury to award them the prestigious Richard S.A. Live Music prize.

Ko Ko Mo was the result of a chance encounter. Three years ago, Warren, 21, and Kevin, 38, crossed paths while working for the group Moongaï. With an EP already to their name and lots of upcoming dates, the group seems destined for a bright – and rocking – future.

Les Gordon has been working his way to the top of electronic music step by step. Under his real name, Marc Mifune seizes the incredible opportunity to play at the Trans Musicales festival in 2013 without safety net just before the international artist Stromae. Thanks to his first EP Saisons, Les Gordon overstepped a first level and signed up with the booking agency Allo Floride. Last may, Les Gordon released Les Cheveux Longs. In a few weeks, this second EP of folk sonorities gathers more than 100 000 plays. With Atlas, Les Gordon reaches a new milestone: freeing the stringed instruments he perfectly masters forming a cascade of guitar notes which directly touches our minds…

Thylacine is the formal name for the Tasmanian tiger – a species that has been extinct for 70 years. It’s a word both precious and abandoned, tamed by William Rezé and used to give a form to his progressive, steamy electronica. His first album, Trans-Siberian, recounts his journey aboard the Trans-Siberian Express. Trained at the Conservatoire, and experienced in both classical music and jazz, Thylacine perfectly captures the ambiance of the journey.
