The Groaning Glaciers

The Groaning Glaciers

Performance about global warming, by David Lescot, actor and playwright

What makes the glaciers groan if not climate change? While the world’s governments came together in Paris last November to save the climate, a journalist and writer carried out a humorous enquiry born of a thirst for knowledge. In The Groaning Glaciers play, as the elements unleash themselves, the actors conduct their negotiations to the rhythms of catastrophes, rainfall, and the hope of improvement. This informative and hilarious cabaret gives us a common experience of the joys linked to both the theatre and to knowledge.

Writer, stage director and musician, David Lescot combines in his work, theatre and non-dramatic means, such as music, dance or  even documentation. After being noticed through musicals in the end 1990's, David Lescot is today known as an acending figure of the French scene.
