Lescop China tour 2017

Lescop China tour 2017

In 2012, the self-released single of Lescop was a sparkling fuse that circulated the Paris indie scene until then head designer of Saint Laurent Paris, legendary Hedi Slimane, became a fan and asked he he could take his picture.

From that encounter in a London flat, Lescop became a fashion icon, a title he is reluctant to claim, but is happier to be associated with his idols from French Cold Wave movement. Idols like Taxi Girl & Etienne Daho.  His debut album in 2012 was a gorgeously crafted exploration of addiction, obsession, and lust. And it place within that landscape of Cold Wave a sense of dark sexual tension.  In 2016, his new Album ECHO infused that sound with a psychedelic energy plunging us further down into the rabbit hole in a Jim Morrison-esque way.

Re-emerging out of Paris via London on (Savages) label Pop Noire, Lescop hits you like a more delicate version of Joy Division.
