A collection of knowledge on sustainable development published by CLAP editions

During the last Franco-Chinese Month of the environment, the French Embassy in China organized a training session for translators on the theme of ecology, and also made a foreign rights booklet introducing a selection of 40 French works on the environment and ecology. A message in a bottle, some will say, but a publishing emergency according to us!

The Chinese publisher China Literature and Art Publishing (CLAP) has answered the call and will publish most of the books presented in the booklet.
Acknowledging the importance of a multitude of voices being heard and of sustaining a true reflection on ecology, at a time when China is shifting towards sustainable development and is supporting this cause internationally, CLAP is establishing itself as a pioneer. A true green activist company, CLAP is creating a complete collection of about 40 non-fiction French books on the environment. This "Development in green" series will include a sample of all that France has to offer in this domain - written by internationally renowned specialists. Among them are, for instance, Nicolas Hulot's Let us dare!, Biodiversity: from one crisis to another, by Patrick de Wever and Bruno David, Has the final countdown begun? by Albert Jacquard, For an ethics of vulnerability, by Corine Pelluchon and Towards a happy sobriety by Pierre Rabhi.
A great opportunity to raise awareness, meditate, and act !

The collection will be launched during an exclusive press conference on September 20th, 2017 at the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles, in the presence of Emmanuel Delannoy, one of the voices CLAP helps relay in China. The public can attend upon registration. The launch will also receive international accolade during the Frankfurt Book Fair through the organization of a roundtable on the subject "Franco-Chinese publishing turns green!'.
