Paris +2°C | How cities adapt to the effects of global warming

The exhibition Paris +2°C is a fictional project showing how Paris might respond to the effects of global warming. Starting from the principle of a 2°C temperature hike in Paris by 2100, the architecture and urban research Studio ET ALORS creates a series of twenty city maps that imagine how future Paris would adapt to climatic disruption in a positive and inventive way.

Neither scientific forecasts nor guidelines, their photomontages outline an imaginary city where it is good to live, where equity, the introduction of clean technologies and reasoned use of resources make Paris a modern city, united and respectful of its environment.

ET ALORS architecture and urban research Studio comprises architects and researchers Yannick Gourvil and Cécile Leroux, who have developed their own way of exploring urban challenges and the territories of tomorrow. Their projects have earned them the Hors-les-Murs award at the French Institute for a residency entitled “Estuary Cities + 1M” in Hamburg and Lisbon and the Jean de Ligne Prize from the Royal Academy of Belgium for the project +2°C… Paris reinvents itself !.
